Leh Ladakh Trip By Bike


I am just in initial phase right now but Posting everything here to capture. I will update this on regular basis and I hope soon it will help everyone. We are group of 11 People (6 Bikes - 5 Couple). Means 5 Girls and 6 Boys. So most of the details you will find with respect to Group. But still I have tried to split the details in such a way that if anyone wants to visit alone - they can easily figure out what they have to do. Lets start first with the preparation. I have divided the things in terms of No of Items for a group:

Section: 1
1 is sufficient or say in one place is sufficient:
  • Tyre opening levers... For Tube Tyre
  • Air Pump
  • Puncher Kit for Tube Less
  • Couple of candles
  • Cigarette Lighter
  • Digital Thermometer
Section 2:
Few are sufficient (But Not required to carry by everyone) .. (in few cases - I am assuming everyone has Royal Enfield )
  • 2 Clutch Plates
  • 3 Clutch wire
  • 3 Break Wire
  • 3 Water Bottle
  • 4 Crepe Bandage
  • Dry Fruits
Section 3:
Every Bike should have
  • At least 1 Petrol cane of 5-10Lt.
  • Bike papers (RC + Insurance), Driving Licence
  • Extra Ropes
  • Saddle bags
  • Laddakh carrier
  • Bike covers (Or something like Tripal - to cover all stuff)
  • Sleeping bag
  • Torch
  • 1 packet of Polybags (Black wale) full size and 1 small size
  • Medicines like Dettol, Bandage, Cotton, pain killer , Pain relief spray,
  • Water Bottle (like Flask) - where you can keep hot water hot and cold water cold.
  • Glucose Biscuits, chocolates.
  • Toffees, chips, chewing gums, mouth freshener
  • Tissue Paper
  • Toilet Paper Roll
Section 4:
Every single person should have
  • Helmet
  • Jackets
  • Thermals
  • Brush
  • Muffler/balaclava for protecting your head
  • Rain Coat
  • Clothes -- shirts/jeans/socks etc
  • Gloves (preferably with a inner liner)
  • SunGlasses
  • Water proof shoes
  • ID proof
  • Post paid - Mobile Phone.
  • Cash (minimum 5K) and 1 ATM card.
